Randy Moss owners, I feel your pain. It wasn’t bad enough that he got traded to the Vikings, where Brett Favre and Brad Childress are completely in over their heads, but now he’s about to be released. However, if he ends up in the right situation, we could come out on the good side. Hopefully, for the sake of my ESPN team, he goes to a good situation and will get a lot of targets. Here’s some week 9 picksups and drops you need to consider for your team:

Add:

Steve Johnson WR, Buffalo Bills: He has four touchdowns in the past three games. Good red zone target. Plus, Fitzpatrick is doing surprisingly well for more than just a couple of weeks now.

LaGarrette Blount RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Blount has punched his way into the fantasy football spotlight with his performance against the Cardinals this past weekend. I wouldn’t expect 120 yards and two touchdowns every week though. The Cardinals defense isn’t exactly tough and the Cardinals turned it over four times. Nevertheless, he’s a definite pickup if you need help at running back.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis RB, New England Patriots: If you’re desperate for running back help, I’d take a look at Green-Ellis. However, the obvious choice between him and Blount is Blount.

Drops:

Jon Kitna QB, Dallas Cowboys: Yea, Kitna had 379 yards passing against a very weak Jaguars secondary, but you should not keep him or add him. If he’s the only guy left and you need a QB, go for it, but live with his team having quit the season midway through.

Chris Ivory RB, New Orleans Saints: Reggie Bush is coming back soon and Julius Jones got as many carries as Ivory did in Sunday night’s win over the Steelers.

Marion Barber RB, Dallas Cowboys: The most yards Mr. Barber has had this year? 55. The Cowboys are a disaster and the only Cowboys running back worth keeping is Felix Jones.
