I may be late getting to this story, but this is absolutely the worst story of fan misconduct since a Phillies fan threw up on a girl a few months ago.
After Sunday’s overtime loss to the Jets at Cleveland Browns Stadium, a father, mother, and an 8-year-old family of Jets fans were leaving the stadium. The boy was wearing a Jets jersey and as they were leaving, a drunken Browns fan was cursing and throwing food at them. The family decided to try to get to their car as quickly as possible without anything more coming from the situation.
That wouldn’t happen though.
After they got to the parking lot, the dad was holding the son’s hand, but out of nowhere, the drunken Browns fan tackled the 8-year-old.
The tackle scraped and bruised up the boy’s ankle. No police were called, as the family decided to just get in the car quickly and leave.
The Jets have offered to fly the unnamed family to a Jets game, but they politely declined because they want to maintain their privacy. They were offered VIP treatment: free plane to New Jersey, luxury suite, and autographed memorabilia from Rex Ryan and New York Jets players.

This is horrible. If it had been myself, I would have taken the offer from the Jets. This family should not have had to endure this. I would be afraid of the 8-year old being to scared to return to a game.
Absolutely. Being drunk is no excuse either.
