2011 Fantasy RB Rankings

Last time, I looked at the quarterbacks; this time I have the running backs. Who’s the best?

1. Adrian Peterson – You don’t get the nickname Purple Jesus for nothing…trust the track record.

2. Arian Foster – Fantasy MONSTER last year. But can he do it again?

3. Chris Johnson – CJ2K didn’t look all that great last year, and possible hold out may hurt his stats.

4. Jamaal Charles – There is no way he’ll maintain the 6.38 YDS/Carry this year, but still a beast.

5. Ray Rice – Baltimore’s offense flows through Rice. Rice gets it done on the ground and in the passing game.

6. LeSean McCoy - McCoy should be higher, but there are too many weapons on that team.

7. Darren McFadden – Who saw McFadden’s rise to greatness last year coming…not me. He’s probably the only thing Oakland fans have going for them.

8. Maurice Jones-Drew – If the Jags could only put a team around MJD he would easily be a top 5 back, but until then he’s barely top 10.

9. Rashard Mendenhall – Mendenall plays hard, and the Steelers are a running team, his inconsistency scares me a little.

10. Michael Turner – When the “Burner” touches the ball good things happen…for some reason Atlanta continues to think they are a pass first team.

11. Frank Gore – Broken hip? No problem…hopefully.

12. Matt Forte – Forte will bust some big ones, but he’s too streaky to be ranked any higher.

13. Steven Jackson – Nobody has more heart than Jackson, unfortunately heart doesn’t pad his stat lines.

14. Peyton Hillis – Have you seen the “GUNS” on this guy? The ticket to the gun show almost forced me to rank him higher.

15. Ahmad Bradshaw – Re-signing with the Giants may have been a good move, Bradshaw has the skills to be a top producer.
