Another blogger put this on Facebook and it’s well worth sharing. Carter’s final hit (09/27/1992) was an RBI double that went over former teammate and fellow Hall of Famer Andre Dawson’s head.
He received quite the ovation as he was pulled from the game, as it was known that this was his final game.
