Do you ever get upset when you hear so called “experts” in sports just regurgitate the same nonsense on television programs? I do. It just seems to me that “analysts” like to put research on hold so they can pass themselves off as intelligent by repeating the fashionable mainstream thought. It happens in the NBA literally every day. Nobody takes chances. Why make an unpopular prediction and be wrong when you can make a popular prediction and be wrong? Or why look at numbers when you can just pull something out of your butt? I’ll give an example; the Celtics lost to the Miami Heat because the Kendrick Perkins trade made them softer on defense. The veterans lost their emotional toughness when Perk left.
