Week 7 is in the books and as we enter week 8 of the NFL season fantasy players are again facing depleted rosters due to the bye weeks. The Texans, Ravens, Bills and Bengals are all off this week, taking with them 5 starting running backs alone, plus several useable players at other positions. If your lineup is a little thin this week its time to head yet again to the waiver wire.

Wired in for Week 6
I was struggling to come up with something to write about this week after the games ended on Sunday. There just wasn’t much happening, not a lot of emerging players, and how often can I write-up the same guys over and over. Then Tuesday rolled around and now fantasy players everywhere are scrambling to their waiver wires to pick up a few coveted guys. But which guys? Who is the guy going to be in Green Bay or Arizona? The Panthers, Jags, Bears and Saints are all on bye this week as well, so between injury and scheduling a lot of players are looking to the wire for starters this week. This week I’m going to talk mostly about a few players who can be useful this week more than looking for long-term guys because I think we’ve covered that already.

Wired In, Week 5
This is the point in the fantasy season when your ability to use the waiver wire will really determine not only your week to week success but the long-term success of your team. It’s bye week time in NFL, with the Cowboys, Lions, Raiders and Bucs all off this week starters at every position need to be replaced. Here’s a look at who’s out there that could help you this week and going forward.
Wired in for Week 4
Week 3 of the NFL season is in the books, and if your fantasy team isn’t doing well, it’s probably time to start making some changes. Most leagues only play until week 13, then the playoffs start, and if you’re 0-3 or even 1-2 you could be digging yourself a hole that you won’t be able to get out of. This is also the point in the season when we really start to see injuries pile up. This past week we saw 1 top 5 qb go down, and several valuable running backs missed at least part of their teams’ game with some ailment or other. If your team is not performing up to expectations or has been bitten by the injury bug here are some players that could potentially fill those holes and maybe even turn your season around.
2011 Week 8 NFL Power Rankings – 10/25/2011
Green Bay Packers (7-0) – Aaron Rodgers continued his MVP season. The Vikings provided a pretty tough opponent, but the offense was just too much for them, 33-27. Charles Woodson had two picks. It appears like another Super Bowl campaign is in the works.

2011 NFL Draft Grades
Grades are based mostly off of where teams got the players off of my Value Board, but team needs are also taken into consideration. You can click on the team names to see their offseason pages which have impending free agents, 2010 draft overviews, and more team info.
Now that I’ve completed the draft grades, I also decided to show just how many teams had interviewed, worked out, etc. their draft picks prior to the draft. Each of those picks are labeled with an ! after the players name, position, and college. There were 75 players in all. Continue reading
2011 NFL Draft: Live Blog
I’ll be live-blogging the 2011 NFL Draft on Thursday night. Watch and read along with me, comments are always welcome and I’ll respond to people’s thoughts or opinions (if there are any). I’ll be watching with a couple of Rams fans, so it’ll be interesting to see if they realize the Rams aren’t picking in the top 5 this year…I kid, i kid! It’ll be a great night and really interesting to watch the trades, fallers, risers, and great insight from NFL Network and ESPN…and me! Continue reading
Final 2011 NFL Mock Draft – 4/27/2011
Here’s my final attempt to predict what will happen in tomorrow night’s NFL draft. Rumors are swirling about the Broncos trading with the Redskins or picking Patrick Peterson…the 49ers have Prince Amukamara rated higher on the their draft board than Patrick Peterson…I’m not buying into those too much, but we’ll find out tomorrow night.
