2011 Review:
The line up wasn’t the problem for the Reds in 2011, it was the pitching. The biggest problem was consistency; Edinson Volquez had none, Travis Wood started without it, and Aroldis Chapman is still looking for his. Add in injury problems for Johnny Cueto, Homer Bailey, and Bronson Arroyo didn’t help matters.

Reds Add Mat Latos for Edinson Volquez and Prospects
The Cincinnati Reds bolstered their rotation this morning by adding Mat Latos from the Padres. In return, the Reds are sending starter Edinson Volquez, 1B Yonder Alonso, C Yasmani Grandal, and reliever Brad Boxberger to San Diego.
