It’s crunch time. If you, like me are currently not making the playoffs in your league, or are near the bottom now is must win time. You might be able to pull off a good trade but more than likely you’ll need to make or break your season on the waiver wire.
Before we look at who is available, who has good match ups and who might be worth flyer I want to cover two basic principles. First, if you have more than one D/ST on your roster, or more than 1 kicker drop them. Unless you have a top 5 defense on bye (there aren’t any, and only 1, the Giants, has a bye coming) there is no need for the second. Same with kickers. Two kickers is wasting 1 spot. Last week I picked up Phil Dawson, the number 5 kicker, off the wire. Dawson is on bye this week so I dropped him again. There is always going to be a decent kicker on the wire and the bye weeks are almost over so you really shouldn’t need a back up. Kickers aren’t match up plays, just pick one and move on.
