2011 Review:
2011 started well for the Braves, but became forgettable at the end. Going into September, they all but had the Wild Card locked up. A combination of hot play from the St. Louis Cardinals and horrible play from the Braves led to an almost historic collapse; they were lucky the Red Sox were taking the spotlight for the same thing in the American League.

Magic Numbers: 09/28/2011
One day left, and we have 2 ties for the Wild Cards. The Red Sox and Rays both won last night, so the AL WC hasn’t changed. The Cardinals won and the Braves lost, so now the 2 are in a must win situation. It looks like we could see 2 1-game playoffs tomorrow.
And to think, the playoff picture looked set at the beginning of the month.
